Happy Halloween to all who celebrate.

October 31st has rolled around again.  This year is really going fast!
I have finished the teacher quilt, and need to figure out where I took a photo of the finish at to post for next week.
I am working on my second Frozen quilt for etsy, that one should post soon.
And as a family, we are working on a HUGE church project that will not go live until the new year, but plans behind the scenes are moving right along.

Hope you have a very productive and happy weekend.  Our weather is calling for some flurries in the morning!  Much too soon for my liking.

Quilt for my good friends' grand-daughter

Here's the look at the finished quilt for MJ.  Sure wish I could go to the beach and deliver it myself.
I made little pictures in the white rectangles, and used up some scraps to make the crazy patches.  I hand sewed it all, and hand quilted it.  Lots of loving stitches in this one.

Linking up this week to:  Show and Tell Tuesday, Fabric Tuesday, WIP Wednesday, and Finish it up Friday.

The Bee Work

A sewing I did go.  I got to sandwich my sons' teachers' quilt... and I started on a new frozen quilt.

In the usual super secret way, because you just never know when your friend is going to drop in on your blog...I did get the hand-quilting finished on my friend-at-the-beach's quilt and cut binding and am hand-attaching it.  Yup, this one has been ALL by hand.

Sewing Bee

I (hope) I am going to a sewing bee tomorrow!
I have sew much to work on, I haven't even packed my bag of projects to take.  I just can't decide what to focus on.  I think I need to layer and baste the baby quilt for my sons' teacher first.
And cut out another Frozen quiltie - because the first one SOLD!  I did it!  I sold my first quilt on etsy.  I did a very happy jig.  That should really take up all my time and space in my project bag.  Along with lunch, it's a brown bagger day.
I'll post photos tomorrow, if I get to go!

Handworking

Lots of it!  I'm appliqueing posies to the border of a baby quilt I am working on my sons' teacher.  I need to get it done before she goes out soon on mat leave.

So the second installment of the dizzy flutterbies quilt has been set aside for the moment.  As has my friend at the beachs' quilt for her granddaughter.

So many stitches, so little time!

Charity Quilt Request

Hi ya'll!  A quick note to ask for any scraps you mights have that are at least 2.5" square.  The ladies in our church are starting to make cancer quilts for friends of our members, and we have only my stash to sew from.  We'd really like to have some other choices and would appreciate any cottons you would care to send.
I've got plenty of Christmas fabric and baby fabrics, but not a lot of anything else.
Please share this post with your friends who might be willing to send us an envelope or box full to get us started.
We're hoping and praying to get hooked up with the community service club at the high school next, and start a new generation of quilters.
Thanks so much.
